Can anyone be hypnotised?
Yes, if you are open to the process. The therapist actually helps you to hypnotise yourself! The most important thing to remember is that you must be fully committed to receive the most benefit.
Will I lose control?
You will be in a deeply relaxed state but fully conscious and you can come out of that state at any time that you want to. You are fully in control and cannot be made to do anything that you do not want to do.
Will I become unconscious?
During a therapy session you will not fall asleep or become unconscious.You are aware of your surroundings and what is happening but you are in your own little world! It is similar to day dreaming.
Is hypnotherapy right for me?
If you suffer from medical conditions such as epilepsy or psychiatric conditions, such as bipolar or personality disorder, you should not engage in hypnotherapy. . Anyone who is unsure about whether hypnotherapy would suit their issue/medication should consult with their GP/doctor first.
